It is always hard for the youngest child to be dethroned. Lily has probably had the hardest time relinquishing the title as baby of the family. It has been a rough couple of months with Lily. She has thrown some extremely intense fits since Grant was born. Despite the drama we have had with her, she has never shown any aggression towards Grant. In fact, after she got over her initial fear of him she has been very sweet and nurturing toward him. None of the other kids can get Grant to smile and coo as fast as Lily, and it is because she gives him so much face time. She will lay by him on the floor and sing and talk to him for quite a good stretch of time. If he cries and fusses she is always one of the first people to run over to him and give him his binky or say "you're all right baby." Surprisingly, even though she is one of the younger kids she is probably my best helper with Grant. Carson and Lincoln have always been good little buddies. Lily hasn't had a buddy, and often find herself being the odd man out. As I have watched the two of them interact, I know Grant is just a baby, but I am hopeful that Grant will be her little buddy. I hope they will have each others back in the same way the two older boys do. Only time will tell how this relationship will develop, but they are sure cute together right now.

Grant 1 month
When Grant was about 1 month I finally found a moment between unpacking and entertaining the other three kids to take some pictures of our sweet boy. With some of the other kids I have taken newborn pics with multiple backgrounds and props, but sometimes when life gets crazy you just do what you can. And with Grant, a photo shoot with one background and one prop is about all I could manage. I am honestly surprised I was able to get this many pictures. I know most of the pictures are very similar and not super creative, but I love them anyway. Isn't he just the sweetest thing? He is one cute little monkey.

Grant Nathan Snow
Well, our family underwent a few changes a little over 2 months ago. We welcomed Grant Nathan Snow into our home. Grant is probably my easiest baby thus far. I am keeping my fingers crossed that it will continue. He is such an easy going little guy, which is a very good quality if you are a 4th child and your family decides to move 2 weeks after you are born. His delivery was the easiest one yet, and he was by far my smallest baby weighing only 7lbs 5oz. He looks very much like the Snow side of the family he has the dark Snow complexion and of course was blessed with the amazing Snow eye lashes. The kids all love him to pieces and are always wanting to hold him. Lily was very uncertain of Grant at first. It took some persuading in the hospital to get her to even sit by Nate when he was holding Grant. She did eventually sit by Nate and he persuaded her to just touch Grant's little toe. Also when the kids came to visit at the hospital Grant opened his eyes and the kids got so excited they all scrambled over to Nate so they could see their little brother awake, their excitement was very sweet. It is an amazing blessing to have another baby in our home. Perhaps it is because it was a little longer journey than planned to get him here or perhaps it is because I am older and appreciate it more, but a new little life is such a miracle! Having four kids is a new level of craziness for me. Having a fourth while moving and while all the kids are out of school has been challenging, but I really am appreciating and enjoying Grant more than I have some of my other baby's. I wish I had had the wisdom to sit back and enjoy this stage a little more with my older kids. We sure love our little Grant and our enjoying having him in our home.
