Lincoln at 20 months

I really meant to write a post about Lincoln at his 18 month mark, but the summer got busy and I just didn't get around to it. I have been a huge blog slacker. Anyways, Lincoln turned 18 months the end of June and finally got to go to nursery. This was a cause for MUCH celebration in our family. Lincoln went into nursery like an angel with no crying or anything. In fact, on his first Sunday in nursery the only time he shed a tear was when he had to leave to get his diaper changed. Lincoln is saying more and more words every day. A few words that have become a staple to his vocabulary are "no," "mine," "cars," and "choo choo" (train). If you can't tell by some of his favorite vocabulary words, he is starting in on his "cars & train" phase. I think all boys are programed to go through at some point in their lives. He is also getting quite opinionated and loves to tell us "no" even when he really wants something. For example, sometimes I will ask him if he wants something he really likes like a cookie and he will say "no." But when I put the cookies away, he cries. Also Lincoln is going through a hat phase. He loves to wear hats and pretend that things are hats, including items in my grocery cart such as his yogurt and cereal bowls, which generally means he gets a lot of baths. Lincoln is a very active child and loves to run everywhere and works as hard as he can to keep up with his older brother. He is a very sweet kid and runs over to us if we say "owie" or mention an "owie" so he can kiss it better. He has always been a good natured kid who laughs easily and continues to bring laughter and joy to our home.
