We have been to Paris

We have been in Paris . . . . Idaho, not France, for a Snow family reunion. For those of you not familiar with Paris, Idaho it is about 10 minutes from Bear Lake, Utah. We spent 4 days there hanging out at the beach, boating, hiking in caves, eating delicious food, and just chilling. Thanks Steve and Valene for planning such a fun trip!

It may not have been an ocean beach, but it was a good substitute. We had warm weather, blue skies, blue water, and even seagulls. We love the Beach!

A rare picture of the entire family (Of course
Nate and I are the only ones looking at the camera :(

Lincoln, Grace, and Ashley also enjoying the warm muddy water

Collecting rocks and shells in Carson's bucket was a big hit.

Another popular activity was squirting the water gun

Paris, ID may not have an Eiffel tower, but it did have this cool historic tabernacle

We didn't have cable TV, but we had some homemade entertainment.
The kids put on a play. All of Carson's cousins and young aunts are girls, and they were nice enough to provide a boy part in their play for Carson. Carson got to be the monster. This is him attacking his aunt Becky. What can I say the part of a monster comes naturally to him.

After Paris we headed down to Salt Lake to hangout with Nate's mom and her husband Joe. We took the kids down to the gateway mall to play in the fountains. Carson had a blast!

Lincoln was unsure about the fountains, he ran away from the water more than getting in and enjoying it.

The 4th of July

We went to Rexburg for the 4th of July this year. It was a pretty typical American 4th of July. We went to a parade, had a barbecue, and lit fireworks. It was pretty low key trip. There was a moment or two of drama during the vacation when Carson and his cousin Duncan were almost trampled by two spooked horses. Thankfully, Nate has much faster reflexes than me and was able to rescue both boys and bring them to safety. Mostly the visit included eating, hanging out, and playing games. It was a perfectly relaxing 4th of July (or as relaxing as it could be with two busy boys). Thanks mom and Dad for a great 4th!

Thankfully at every family gathering there are always aunts and uncles willing to help out with the kids. Thanks Sandi for following the Lincster around.

And thanks for taking him on fun excursions like mooing at the neighbors cows :)

Random Sweetness

The other day during quite time I peaked in on Carson and found him intently playing with his brand new dinosaurs. I asked him what he was doing and he said that he was making a dinosaur museum. I thought that was cute so I took a few pictures. Shortly after this I went into Lincolns room to get him up from his nap. He woke up very grumpy and kept crying and crying. Carson then came into Lincolns room and gave him 2 of his brand new dinosaurs to play with (the dinosaurs were literally hours new) in an attempt to cheer him up. It worked like a charm. Carson then took Lincoln into his room where they could play dinosaurs together. It was sooo sweet!
