Easter

We had a great Easter! Ever since Christmas, Carson has been way into Holidays, which has made them so much more fun. For the week prior to Easter, Carson has been saying that he is thankful for the Easter Bunny in his prayers (so cute.) We totally went all-out for Easter this year. Carson attended three Easter egg hunts, he decorated Easter eggs, and he left a carrot out for the Easter Bunny. I got into the Bunny theme myself and turned “Martha Stewart” and made Easter Bunny cupcakes (at least that’s about as Martha as I get). Carson was thrilled that the Easter Bunny left him the game ‘Hungry Hungry Hippos.’ Needless to say, ever since Easter we have played many, many, many games of Hungry Hungry Hippos. Lincoln celebrated Easter mostly by looking adorable in his spring church clothes, which he wasn’t in for very long because he had a huge diaper blowout at church which required us to go home to get cleaned up (maybe that’s too much information). Overall, it was a fun weekend. I hope everyone else had an enjoyable holiday

Valentines Day

So, I originally intended to make really cute valentine cards for all our friends and family but, that just didn't happen because I just had a baby. Cut me some slack. I hope I can still use that excuse, although I had Lincoln almost 2 months ago. In fact I hope I can still use that excuse for a few more months because I still feel like I am adjusting to the two kid thing. Anyways, I digress. I hope that you all had a terrific Valentines day, and that you can feel the love from our family to yours.

Lincoln Daniel Snow

I know that most everyone already knows, but for those who did not recieve our email, Lincoln Daniel Snow was born December 31 at 6:15 pm weighing 8 lbs 11oz. His birth was a bit of a surprise because he came three weeks early. With Carson being born 2 weeks late I was certain there was no chance I would have this baby early; but to my pleasant surprise Lincoln came out a team player arriving just in time to give our family a nice tax credit. In fact, I was so unprepared for this baby that I sent Nate home for a couple hours to pack bags, find a place for Carson, and clean our house for company. Lincoln's birth was blissfully uneventful, especially compared to the drama of Carson's birth. Since Lincoln has been home he has been absolutely a delight! He is an exceptionally good tempered baby. We feel so blessed to have him in our family.

Santa brought Carson a train set for Christmas. He absolutely loves it! Thanks Santa for bringing a toy that keeps Carson so self-ntertained.

Although Carson was afraid of Santa at first and would not even approach him, he overcame his fears somewhat when Santa gave him a candy cane. Yes, my son will appraoch strangers if offered candy (thats a little scary).

So we went to visit Santa. Carson was at first very excited to tell Santa that he wanted cars and trains for Christmas, but when it came time to sit on the big guy's lap he got stage fright.

In Early November I tried to potty train Carson, and was completely unsuccessful. Alas, I'm going to have two kids in diapers at the same time.

Halloween

Don’t let these pictures of Carson fool you, I know that he looks like a cute little pirate, but he actually was a little devil. I don’t know what got in to Carson today but he was completely disagreeable. Everything I suggested we do he didn’t want to do; right down to trick-or-treating. I practically begged him for 45 minutes to get into his costume so we could go to Nate’s work Halloween party. He complied and got into his costume only after I told him we weren’t going and I called Nate to tell him not to expect us. Who says reverse psychology doesn’t work? He was very pleasant once we got to Nate’s work and started trick-or-treating. We barely got Carson to say trick-or-treat the whole evening but he did say “more candy mommy?” a lot. I guess I should have been prepared for this constant begging for candy since he’s a little kid and there was candy every where. It would probably be abnormal if he didn’t beg for candy the whole evening. Although I must admit it got rather tedious telling him “no” over and over again. Not that I didn’t let him eat candy (I’m not that mean of a mom) I just didn’t let him eat every piece of candy in his pumpkin. We were so tired of the whole routine that after about an hour of enjoying Halloween festivities at Nate’s work we decided to come home and call it a night. Although Carson was not as pleasant this Halloween as I might have hoped, he did of course have his good moments and luckily I was able to capture a few of them with our camera we can always look at these pictures and remember what a cute little pirate he was. ARRRRRR.
